RedRunner Designs Type 7 Sway Bar Links are our shortest adjustable double heim sway bar link setup.
These links are built for applications that need a very short sway bar link, with an adjustment range of 3 to 3.5 inches center to center. They were originally designed around the 2001–2004 Toyota Tacoma, but may work on many other vehicles with similar short link requirements.
The Type 7 design is essentially the smallest version of our Type 2 and Type 4 style link, using FK Bearing heim joints at both ends with no bushing style mount.
Type 7 links are available as either a quick disconnect setup with 7/16 inch quick disconnect pins or a bolt on setup with short bolt on mounting pins.
Key Features
Short Adjustable Design – Adjustable from 3 to 3.5 inches center to center for very short sway bar link applications.
Double Heim Joint Construction – Uses FK Bearing heim joints at both ends for strength, movement, and adjustability.
Quick Disconnect or Bolt On Options – Choose the hardware style that matches your setup.
7/16 Inch Quick Disconnect Pin Option – Allows the sway bar to be disconnected when more suspension movement is needed off road.
Short Bolt On Pin Option – A secure, non disconnect option for applications where a permanent sway bar link is preferred.
Adjustable and Rebuildable – Fine tune the length for your setup and replace worn components instead of replacing the entire link.

Not Sure Which Setup You Need?
Before ordering, we recommend checking:
Current sway bar link mounting length
Upper and lower mounting point thickness
Mounting angle and alignment
Clearance around the sway bar, suspension, axle, steering, brake, and CV components
Whether you need quick disconnect or bolt on hardware
Send us your year, make, model, lift height or suspension setup, current mounting length, mounting point thickness, and photos of both mounting points and we will help you choose the correct RedRunner setup.
Important Safety Notice
For quick disconnect setups, you are responsible for securely supporting the sway bar when it is disconnected. Depending on the vehicle and suspension setup, an unsecured sway bar may contact surrounding suspension, steering, axle, brake, or CV components.
Always secure the sway bar before driving.
You may also disconnect only one side, leaving the opposite link connected to help support the sway bar while providing the same disconnect effect.
Short. Adjustable. Rebuildable. Built for the setups that need a very compact sway bar link.
Sold as a PAIR.
